GeoBotanical Pre-Release

Over the past three months, we have been compiling research on species listed in ethnobotanical studies. We currently have profiles for over 1800 species from 20 regional studies on traditional plants and fungi, and have compiled over 19,000 studies on individual species.

We aim to provide an interactive link between geographic regions, traditional cultures and recent scientific studies on botanical species.

This site is under heavy construction, and We still have long way to go before our initial release. There are several upgrades we hope to make in the near future:

• Improving existing data, finding studies from diverse ecosystems and geographic regions on all inhabited continents.
• Article tagging, filtering, and categorization, with a particular focus on medical trials and chemical decomposition studies.
• Species chemical profiles and aggregation of research on the biological activity of those chemicals.
