We have added a new study on medicinal plants used by traditional healers in the Barpeta district of Assam, India.

There were 50 plant species species recorded in a survey that took place in 2021 and 2022. Face-to-face surveys mostly involved elderly people and local healers familiar with the traditional usage of the plants.

As always, any reported medicinal uses require scientific investigation. For more information about preparations and the parts of the plants used, please see the original publication.

This research was published in the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine in July of 2023.
