Abies nordmanniana

Ethnobotanical Studies

Studies

Antiviral and cytotoxic activities and chemical profiles of two species of Abies nordmanniana from Türkiye.

Summary

Scientists investigated chemical content and biological potential of resin and cones from genus Pinaceae. Extracts showed cytotoxicity against cancer cells and antiviral activity against avian coronavirus. Pinaceae species may be a sustainable drug source with impressive potential.
