Scientists isolated new compounds from a plant, studied their structures and biosynthetic pathways, and found some had cardioprotective effects on heart cells by modulating cellular pathways. Important for drug development and understanding cardiac health.
Six new compounds called euchronin A-F and nine known compounds were discovered in Arnebia euchroma. Compounds 2 and 4 showed strong anti-proliferative activity against HaCaT cells, reducing cell viability to 38.83% and 68.44% at 25 μM concentration.
