Ephedra alata

Ethnobotanical Studies

Studies

Investigation of the phytochemical profiling and antioxidant, anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, and MDA-MB-231 cell line antiproliferative potentials of extracts from Ephedra alata Decne.

Summary

Study on Ephedra alata Decne extracts found high antioxidant properties, phenolic and flavonoid compounds. Acetone extract showed strongest antioxidant activity, possible anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and anticancer effects. Important for potential medicinal uses.
