The Protective Effect of Marsdenia tenacissima against Cisplatin-Induced Nephrotoxicity Mediated by Inhibiting Oxidative Stress, Inflammation, and Apoptosis.

Summary

This study shows that the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) MT can enhance the anti-tumor effect of cisplatin (Cis) while reducing its toxic side effects, specifically nephrotoxicity. MT improves renal function, decreases inflammation, and regulates apoptosis through the Nrf2 and NF-κB pathways. Use MT as an adjuvant to mitigate Cis-induced nephrotoxicity.
