The study looked at the impact of African eggplant and Black nightshade leaves on Alzheimer's disease. They analyzed behavior, biochemistry, and tissue samples using a mouse model. Results suggest that both vegetables may have some positive effects on delaying Alzheimer's disease progression.
This study looked at the effect of two plants on cognitive function and brain enzymes in rats given a drug that causes cognitive impairment. The rats were given either Black nightshade or African eggplant before being given the drug. The results showed that those who had been given the plants had better memory and better brain enzyme activity than those who had not. The plants also improved the rats' antioxidant status. The study concludes that these plants may be useful in preventing and managing cognitive impairment diseases such as Alzheimer's.
