Researchers identified and characterized 36 new cyclotides in Viola japonica, showing inhibitory effects on Acinetobacter baumannii and Bacillus subtilis with bactericidal effects within 2 hours. These cyclotides also possess cytotoxic effects, enhancing peptide diversity understanding.
