MYB24 orchestrates terpene and flavonol metabolism as light responses to anthocyanin depletion in variegated grape berries.

Scientists found that the accumulation of certain metabolic products differs in red and white sections of variegated grapes. MYB24, a gene, regulates the synthesis of terpenes and flavonols, potentially affecting carotenoids. This study provides insights into the triggers and effects of variegation in berries.

The Optimization of Medium Conditions and Auxins in the Induction of Adventitious Roots of Pokeweed (Phytolacca americana L.) and Their Phytochemical Constituents.

Researchers optimized parameters for adventitious root induction in pokeweed using different medium states and treatments with auxins. Semisolid medium with 2mg/L NAA showed high root induction efficiency, while liquid medium with 1mg/L NAA had the highest phytochemical contents. These findings can aid in adventitious root culture and phytochemical production.
