Study on winter dormancy in red raspberry cultivars: 'Glen Ample' follows normal phenology, 'Glen Dee' shows dysregulation. RNA-seq and WGCNA identify gene clusters and highlight importance of genetic processes. Dysregulation in 'Glen Dee' linked to specific VRN1 homologue expression.

Effect of Variation in Temperature and Light Duration on Morpho-physiology and Phytochemical Content in Sprouts and Microgreens of Common Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench).

Study showed that mild stress through extended photoperiod and moderate temperature improves yield and phytochemical content in common buckwheat sprouts and microgreens. Optimize growth conditions for better nutritional value and potential as "superfoods."

Chitosan nanoparticles encapsulated Piper betle essential oil alleviates Alzheimer's disease associated pathology in Caenorhabditis elegans.

Encapsulating Piper betle oil in nanoparticles improved Alzheimer's symptoms in Caenorhabditis elegans, increasing lifespan and cognitive function while reducing Aβ deposits and neurotoxicity. The DAF-16 pathway was implicated in reducing Aβ toxicity.

Targeted/untargeted metabolomics and antioxidant properties distinguish Citrus reticulata 'Chachi' from Citrus reticulata Blanco.

Researchers compared phenolic compounds and metabolites in different dried citrus peel species. Citrus reticulata Blanco had more total phenolic compounds and higher antioxidant activity compared to Citrus reticulata 'Chachi'. This study supports the high-value use of citrus peels.

Antibacterial effect of ultrasound combined with Litsea cubeba essential oil nanoemulsion on Salmonella Typhimurium in kiwifruit juice.

Study found ultrasonic treatment with Litsea cubeba essential oil nanoemulsion improved antibacterial efficacy against Salmonella in kiwifruit juice while preserving nutrients and enhancing antioxidant capacity. Promising method for fruit juice safety. Adjustments needed for sensory impact.
