Inula helenium extract and lidocaine-loaded electrospun wound dressings for managing skin wounds pain and their healing: An in vitro and in vivo study.

Scientists developed nanofiber dressings loaded with extract and lidocaine to promote wound healing and reduce pain. In vitro and rat model studies showed slow drug release, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory effects, reduced bacterial infiltration, and significant wound closure. These dressings also decreased pain sensitivity and inflammation in animals.
