Researchers studied the antioxidant and antimicrobial properties of leaf extracts from Baccaurea ramiflora and Microcos paniculata. Results could lead to new natural products with potential health benefits.
Scientists developed nanofiber dressings loaded with extract and lidocaine to promote wound healing and reduce pain. In vitro and rat model studies showed slow drug release, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory effects, reduced bacterial infiltration, and significant wound closure. These dressings also decreased pain sensitivity and inflammation in animals.
