Diet-Induced Rodent Obesity Is Prevented and the Fecal Microbiome Is Improved with Elderberry (Sambucus nigra ssp. canadensis) Juice Powder.

Elderberry juice powder reduces diet-induced obesity in mice by altering the fecal microbiome, promoting physical activity, and increasing phenolic metabolite absorption. This can potentially be a natural and effective way to prevent obesity.

A review of the research progress on Artemisia argyi Folium: botany, phytochemistry, pharmacological activities, and clinical application.

Researchers conducted a comprehensive review of studies on Artemisia argyi Folium (AAF). They identified 136 compounds, including new terpenoids and flavonoids. AAF shows potential for anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, antioxidant, and antibacterial effects. Quality criteria and pharmacokinetics need further study for clinical use.

Puerarin mitigated LPS-ATP or HG-primed endothelial cells damage and diabetes-associated cardiovascular disease via ROS-NLRP3 signalling.

Puerarin (Pue) from Pueraria lobata protects against vascular damage induced by diabetes by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress through inactivating the ROS-NLRP3 signaling pathway. This could potentially lead to new treatments for diabetic vascular diseases.
