Berberis vulgaris L. Root Extract as a Multi-Target Chemopreventive Agent against Colon Cancer Causing Apoptosis in Human Colon Adenocarcinoma Cell Lines.

BVR root extract from L. () showed promising chemopreventive effects against colon cancer cells, inducing programmed cell death and altering gene expression related to apoptosis. BVR also demonstrated antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Consider using BVR as a comprehensive chemopreventive agent in colorectal cancer.

An In Vitro Study on the Cytotoxic, Antioxidant, and Antimicrobial Properties of Yamogenin-A Plant Steroidal Saponin and Evaluation of Its Mechanism of Action in Gastric Cancer Cells.

Yamogenin from plants has strong cytotoxic effects on gastric cancer cells, induces apoptosis via multiple pathways, and has moderate antioxidant properties. It may be a promising option for treating and preventing gastric cancers.
