Volatile oil of Angelica sinensis Radix improves cognitive function by inhibiting miR-301a-3p targeting Ppp2ca in cerebral ischemia mice.

Researchers investigated the effects of Angelica Sinensis Radix (ASR) and its volatile oil (VOASR) on cognitive impairment. ASR is a Chinese medicine used for pain relief and menstrual regulation, while VOASR showed promise in improving cognitive function. Understanding their mechanisms could aid in developing treatments for cognitive impairments.

Structurally diverse stilbenes from Gnetum parvifolium and their anti-neuroinflammatory activities.

Scientists isolated 15 new and eight known stilbenes from Gnetum parvifolium. These compounds showed significant anti-neuroinflammatory activity, particularly compound 10, which decreased iNOS, IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α levels.
