Kaempferol-3-O-(2″-O-galloyl-β-D-glucopyranoside): a novel neuroprotective agent from Diospryros kaki against cerebral ischemia-induced brain injury.

Diospyros kaki L.f. leaf extract contains a potent flavonoid compound (9) that reduces brain injury, improves impairments, preserves blood-brain barrier, and suppresses oxidative stress, suggesting its potential for treating ischemic-induced brain damage.

Antimicrobial effect of chamomile-containing over-the-counter ear and eye drops.

Chamomile eardrops and eye drops were tested for their antimicrobial effects on bacteria causing ear infections and conjunctivitis. Both drops showed significant reduction in bacterial growth, suggesting potential use as non-prescription treatments for these conditions.
