Cancer chemoprevention with PV-1, a novel Prunella vulgaris-containing herbal mixture that remodels the tumor immune microenvironment in mice.

PV-1, a herbal mixture, showed immune-stimulatory and anti-inflammatory effects. It inhibited lung and oral cancer development in mouse models, increased CD8+ TILs, suppressed g-MDSCs, and improved anti-cancer immunotherapy. PV-1 has potential for cancer chemoprevention and immune remodeling.

Medicinal plants used for management of diabetes and hypertension in Ghana.

This study investigated medicinal plants used by herbalists in Ghana for managing diabetes and hypertension. 39 species of plants were identified, 18 for hypertension, 12 for diabetes, and 9 for both. Some of these plants have potential therapeutic benefits, but clinical studies are needed for confirmation.
