Natural Products Induce Different Anti-Tumor Immune Responses in Murine Models of 4T1 Mammary Carcinoma and B16-F10 Melanoma.

Anamu-SC extract reduces tumor growth in breast cancer but not melanoma, while P2Et extract reduces both and enhances immune response. Co-treatment of P2Et with doxorubicin reduces tumor size by 70%. Both extracts affect immune cell populations and have potential as polymolecular drugs, but further research is needed.

Discovery of Anti-Coronavirus Cinnamoyl Triterpenoids Isolated from Hippophae rhamnoides during a Screening of Halophytes from the North Sea and Channel Coasts in Northern France.

Scientists investigated plants adapted to high-salt environments in France for potential antiviral properties against SARS-CoV-2. The plant showed the highest antiviral activity, and six cinnamoyl triterpenoid compounds were identified as potential antiviral agents against coronaviruses.

Exploring the Anticancer Potential of Origanum majorana Essential Oil Monoterpenes Alone and in Combination against Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Four monoterpenes in essential oil were found to decrease cell viability, reduce colony growth, and downregulate survivin expression in non-small cell lung cancer. Combinations of monoterpenes enhanced their anticancer effects, showing potential for future research.

Thyme Extract Alleviates High-Fat Diet-Induced Obesity and Gut Dysfunction.

Thyme extract can help improve metabolic health in mice on a high-fat diet by reducing weight gain and body fat percentage, improving intestinal barrier function, and regulating serum biomarkers. Thyme also affects the levels of certain metabolites, showing promise in mitigating obesity and related gut conditions.
