Involvement of estrogen receptor activation in kaempferol-3-O-glucoside's protection against aging-related cognition impairment and microglial inflammation.
Kaempferol-3-O-glucoside (K-3-G), a flavonoid in Cuscuta Chinensis Lam., improved cognition and reduced inflammation in aging mice. It activated estrogen receptors (ERs) and inhibited microglial inflammation through ERs, suggesting it could be a therapeutic agent for cognitive decline.
