Involvement of estrogen receptor activation in kaempferol-3-O-glucoside's protection against aging-related cognition impairment and microglial inflammation.

Kaempferol-3-O-glucoside (K-3-G), a flavonoid in Cuscuta Chinensis Lam., improved cognition and reduced inflammation in aging mice. It activated estrogen receptors (ERs) and inhibited microglial inflammation through ERs, suggesting it could be a therapeutic agent for cognitive decline.

Comparative physiochemical and transcriptomic analysis reveals the influences of cross-pollination on ovary and fruit development in pummelo (Citrus maxima).

Cross-pollination with Guanximiyou pummelo improves the fruit shape (FS) quality of Shuijingmiyou pummelo. Physiochemical and transcriptomic differences were found between self-pollinated and cross-pollinated fruits. This study provides insight into the influence of cross-pollination on pummelo fruit development and quality improvement.

The anticancer potential of chemical constituents of Moringa oleifera targeting CDK-2 inhibition in estrogen receptor positive breast cancer using in-silico and in vitro approches.

Scientists investigated the potential of compounds in Moringa oleifera to inhibit CDK-2, a protein target in estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer. Ellagic acid, chlorogenic acid, and quercetin showed the most promise and further research is needed to validate these findings.

Plumbagin has an inhibitory effect on the growth of TSCC PDX model and it enhances the anticancer efficacy of cisplatin.

Researchers studied the effectiveness of plumbagin in inhibiting cell growth, tumor metastasis, and inducing apoptosis in tongue squamous cell carcinoma. Findings may lead to new therapies for this type of cancer with a poor prognosis.
