Pedigree-based QTL analysis of flower size traits in two multi-parental diploid rose populations.

Researchers used pedigree-based analysis to identify new and previously reported QTLs for flower size traits in roses. They also identified SNP haplotypes associated with QTL alleles and determined QTL genotypes for important breeding parents. The study can help improve ornamental quality in roses and inform DNA-informed breeding programs.

Effects of clonal integration and nutrient availability on the growth of Glechoma longituba under heterogenous light conditions.

This study examines the effects of clonal integration on the performance of connected ramets. It shows that the availability of another resource for donor ramets can influence the effects of clonal integration. This finding is important for understanding the ecological advantages of clonal integration.

Assessing the potential of rosary pea (Abrus precatorius L.) derived aqueous seed extracts as anticancer agents and their phytoconstituents as COX-2 inhibitor: an in-vitro and in-silico approach.

L. is a medicinal remedy with diverse bioactivities. Aqueous seed extracts have high antioxidant, antiproliferative, antiangiogenic properties. They show potential as anticancer and antiangiogenic drugs.
