Silicon dioxide nanoparticles suppress copper toxicity in Mentha arvensis L. by adjusting ROS homeostasis and antioxidant defense system and improving essential oil production.

Excessive copper in soil harms plant growth and crop production. Silica nanoparticles (Aerosil 200F) can reduce copper toxicity, improve plant growth, photosynthesis, antioxidant function, and essential oil production.

Polysaccharides from Tetrastigma Hemsleyanum Diels et Gilg ameliorated inflammatory bowel disease by rebuilding the intestinal mucosal barrier and inhibiting inflammation through the SCFA-GPR41/43 signaling pathway.

Tetrastigma hemsleyanum polysaccharide (THP) reduces inflammation, promotes intestinal barrier integrity, regulates gut microbiota, and activates SCFAs-GPR41/43 signaling pathway in inflammatory bowel disease.

Associations Between Monthly Cannabis Use and Myocardial Infarction in Middle-Aged Adults: NHANES 2009 to 2018, Corroon et al.

This study analyzed data from middle-aged adults and found that a history of monthly cannabis use >1 year before a heart attack was not associated with a heart attack, except when cannabis was not used within the past month.

Phytoconstituents, antioxidant and antiglycation activity of Chrysophyllum cainito L., Hancornia speciosa Gomes and Plinia glomerata Berg. fruits.

Researchers studied the antioxidant and antiglycation activities of three unconventional wild edible fruits. They identified various phytoconstituents and observed significant sugar, vitamin C, and carotenoid content. The fruits exhibited antioxidant properties, with Chrysophyllum cainito peel showing the highest efficacy. Plinia glomerata showed significant antiglycation activity. These findings provide valuable information for further research on the application, preservation, and conservation of these fruits.
