Aquatic plant root exudates: A source of disinfection byproduct precursors in constructed wetlands.

This study analyzed plant root extracts to understand their potential to form disinfection byproducts in drinking water. One extract had a higher potential, and tannins were identified as important precursors. This information improves water treatment processes and water quality. (Roughly 100 characters)
