Anticancer, antimicrobial and antioxidant activity of CuO-ZnO bimetallic nanoparticles: green synthesised from Eryngium foetidum leaf extract.

E. foetidum leaf extract was used to synthesize CuO-ZnO nanoparticles with potential anti-cancer, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties. Results show promising cytotoxic effects on breast cancer cells and potent antimicrobial activity against various strains.

Antifungal, molecular docking and cytotoxic effect of the essential oil of Cymbopogon citratus (DC) Stapf. and Cymbopogon nardus (L.) Rendle against Candida albicans.

Researchers in Brazil studied essential oils from Cymbopogon citratus and C. nardus for their antimicrobial potential against Candida albicans. The oils showed effectiveness against both planktonic and biofilm forms of the fungus, with low toxicity and potential for therapeutic applications.

Encapsulation of eucalyptus and Litsea cubeba essential oils using zein nanopolymer: Preparation, characterization, storage stability, and antifungal evaluation.

Zein nanoparticles loaded with eucalyptus and Litsea cubeba essential oils show antifungal activity against Colletotrichum lindemuthianum, protecting bean crops. The nanoparticles are stable, physically and thermally, demonstrating potential as a biofungicide for crop protection.

Predictive Assessment of the Antiviral Properties of Imperata cylindrica against SARS-CoV-2.
