Antifungal Activity of Cyperus articulatus, Cyperus rotundus and Lippia alba Essential Oils against Aspergillus flavus Isolated from Peanut Seeds.

Three essential oils from different plants were tested for antifungal activity against a fungus contaminating peanut seeds in Senegal. The oil from one plant, had the best inhibitory effect, making it a potential protective agent for groundnuts.

Prenylated Flavonoids Isolated from the Root of Sophora flavescens as Potent Antifungal Agents against Botrytis cinerea.

Authors isolated flavonoids from traditional Chinese herb and evaluated their activity against phytopathogenic fungi. Kurarinone and sophoraflavanone G showed broad and superior activity, with kurarinone disrupting fungal cell components. Kurarinone could be a potential candidate for plant fungicide development.
