New cyclic C-geranylflavanones isolated from Paulownia fortunei fruits with their anti-proliferative effects on three cancer cell lines.

Researchers isolated and identified seven new compounds from Paulownia fortunei fruits. These compounds showed potential anti-tumor effects, particularly on lung cancer cells, by inducing apoptosis and blocking cell growth.

Anticancer role of mango (Mangifera indica L.) peel and seed kernel extracts against 7,12- dimethylbenz[a]anthracene-induced mammary carcinogenesis in female rats.

Mango seed and peel extracts were found to reduce mammary tumors and oxidative stress caused by DMBA, while also decreasing cell proliferation and increasing apoptosis. These extracts could be useful in breast cancer treatment.

Artemisia argyi H.Lév. & Vaniot essential oil induces ferroptosis in pancreatic cancer cells via up-regulation of TFR1 and depletion of γ-glutamyl cycle.

Artemisia argyi essential oil (AAEO) was investigated for its effects on pancreatic cancer cells. AAEO induced ferroptosis, a type of cell death, through regulating specific metabolic pathways. It has potential as a therapeutic approach for pancreatic cancer treatment.

BuOH fraction of Salix Babylonica L. extract increases pancreatic beta-cell tumor death at lower doses without harming their function.

Salix babylonica L. leaf extract has different effects on pancreatic tumor cells. EtOAc fraction causes cell death, while BuOH fraction kills cells with less damage.

Moringa oleifera leaf polysaccharides exert anti-lung cancer effects upon targeting TLR4 to reverse the tumor-associated macrophage phenotype and promote T-cell infiltration.

Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) contribute to cancer growth and metastasis. A new study shows that leaf polysaccharides can convert TAMs from immunosuppressive to antitumor, increasing T-cell infiltration and suppressing lung cancer. This highlights their potential in cancer immunotherapy.

CD8(+) T Cell-Mediated Therapeutic Antitumor Effect of an Herbal Mixture Containing Ganoderma lucidum.

An herbal medicine used in Japan for cancer patients was found to have a therapeutic effect on tumor growth by suppressing it through CD8 T cells. This is the first scientific evidence of its contribution to tumor immunity.
