Complete chloroplast genome assembly and phylogenetic analysis of blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum), red and white currant (Ribes rubrum), and gooseberry (Ribes uva-crispa) provide new insights into the phylogeny of Grossulariaceae.

Genomic data for blackcurrant, red currant, white currant, and gooseberry is currently limited, hindering their classification and breeding. This research addresses that gap, which may lead to improved crops and scientific understanding.

Microbiome-transcriptome analysis reveals that dietary supplementation with macleaya cordata extract alters multiple immune pathways with minimal impact on microbial structure.

Study investigated the effects of macleaya cordata extract (MCE) on the gut microbiota and host interactions in young goats. Results suggest MCE has potential as an antibiotic alternative.

Withania somnifera mitochondrial atp4 gene editing alters the ATP synthase b subunit, independent of salt stress.

This study shows that stress in plant cells affects RNA editing, specifically in the mitochondria gene responsible for the b subunit of ATP synthase. Polar edits in the b subunit help stabilize the complex and potentially impact ATPase activity, suggesting they aim to restore the active protein.
