Genome-Wide Exploration and Expression Analysis of the CNGC Gene Family in Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) under Cold Stress, with Functional Characterization of SmCNGC1a.

This study identified and analyzed the CNGC gene family in eggplant. The genes were found to be involved in environmental adaptability regulation and the response to cold stress. The study provides a foundation for further research on cold adaptation in eggplant.

Mollugin suppresses proliferation and drives ferroptosis of colorectal cancer cells through inhibition of insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA binding protein 3/glutathione peroxidase 4 axis.

Mollugin, a compound from Rubia cordifolia, induces ferroptosis in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells by reducing GSH and increasing ROS, Fe, and MDA levels. Inhibition of ferroptosis reverses the antitumor effects of mollugin. High expression of IGF2BP3 in CRC suggests poor prognosis. Mollugin may be a promising CRC therapy by targeting the IGF2BP3/GPX4 axis.
