Integrated metabolic profiling and transcriptome analysis of Lonicera japonica flowers for chlorogenic acid, luteolin and endogenous hormone syntheses.
Study investigates the regulation of secondary metabolites in Lonicera japonica during flower development. Results show decrease in chlorogenic acid and luteolin content, down-regulation of crucial enzymes, and identification of transcription factor families involved in biosynthesis. Hormone biosynthesis, signaling pathways, and flowering process also analyzed.
