Genetics Studies

Fumaria officinalis-loaded chitosan nanoparticles dispersed in an alginate hydrogel promote diabetic wounds healing by upregulating VEGF, TGF-β, and b-FGF genes: A preclinical investigation.

Researchers developed a wound dressing using fumaria officinalis extract-loaded chitosan nanoparticles in a hydrogel. In vitro and in vivo studies showed it promoted cell viability, migration, and wound healing potential comparable to a marketed product. This research suggests potential use in diabetic wound treatment.

Comprehensive Characterization of B-Box Zinc Finger Genes in Citrullus lanatus and Their Response to Hormone and Abiotic Stresses.

Researchers identified and characterized 25 watermelon genes involved in growth, development, and stress response. These genes may have functional interactions in stress hormone networks. Understanding their roles will be important for studying stress and hormone signaling pathways.
