Polysaccharides from Fu brick tea ameliorate obesity by modulating gut microbiota and gut microbiota-related short chain fatty acid and amino acid metabolism.

Fu brick tea polysaccharides (FBTPSs) from fermented tea leaves reduced obesity, hyperlipidemia, inflammation, and improved gut microbiota in high-fat diet-fed rats. FBTPSs may be a promising prebiotic for obesity and dysbiosis treatment.

Mexican Ancestral Foods (Theobroma cacao, Opuntia ficus indica, Persea americana and Phaseolus vulgaris) Supplementation on Anthropometric, Lipid and Glycemic Control Variables in Obese Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

A review found that a diet including Mexican ancestral foods like cocoa, nopal, avocado, and common bean can help reduce obesity and related health issues. More research is needed for conclusive evidence.

Antidiabetic and anti-obesity properties of a polyphenol-rich flower extract from Tagetes erecta L. and its effects on Caenorhabditis elegans fat storages.

Researchers obtained a polyphenolic-rich extract from Tageres erecta flowers. In vitro and in vivo experiments showed potential anti-diabetic and anti-obesity effects. Polyphenols from T. erecta can be considered as bioactive compounds for preventing metabolic chronic diseases.

Lemon fermented products prevent obesity in high-fat diet-fed rats by modulating lipid metabolism and gut microbiota.

Lemon fermented products (LFP) reduced liver triglyceride and cholesterol levels, regulated genes related to lipid metabolism, and improved gut microbiota, potentially preventing obesity.

Antiobesity potential of major metabolites from Clitoria ternatea kombucha: Untargeted metabolomic profiling and molecular docking simulations.

Fermented kombucha drink contains compounds with potential as antiobesity agents. Major compounds like Kaempferol and Quercetin ranked high in inhibiting lipase enzymes and fat mass-associated proteins. Further studies needed for validation.

Development and characterization of a fucoidan-based nanoemulsion using Nigella sativa oil for improvement of anti-obesity activity of fucoxanthin in an obese rat model.

Researchers investigated the anti-obesity effects of encapsulated fucoxanthin in fucoidan-based nanoemulsion on high-fat diet-induced obese rats. Results showed that fucoxanthin reduced body and liver weight, improved biochemical parameters, and attenuated lipid accumulation in the liver.

Caloric Restriction (CR) Plus High-Nitrate Beetroot Juice Does Not Amplify CR-Induced Metabolic Adaptation and Improves Vascular and Cognitive Functions in Overweight Adults: A 14-Day Pilot Randomised Trial.

Combining caloric restriction with beetroot juice improves vascular and cognitive function in overweight adults, finds a pilot study. The CR+BRJ group had better results in microvascular flux, endothelial activity, cognitive scores, and urinary 8-isoprostane concentrations.
