Effect of EVA film and chitosan coating on quality and physicochemical characteristics of mango fruit during postharvest storage.

This study found that coating mangoes with a novel nanocomposite film improved postharvest quality. The film reduced decay and weight loss, increased antioxidant capacity, and delayed fruit aging by suppressing enzyme activity and ethylene release. EVA treatment was better than CTS treatment for mango preservation.

Evaluation of iso-quinoline alkaloids by RP-HPLC-PDA in different Berberis species collected from Western Himalayan Region.

This study analyzed eight species of the genus to identify their metabolic variation using RP-HPLC-PDA chromatography. The method successfully separated the markers jatrorrhizine, palmatine, and berberine. The study provides a useful tool for identifying and differentiating various species, which can be used as an alternative to the official drug .

Exploring gender-based diversity for phenolic and organic acid profiles in the genetic resource of betel vine (Piper betle L.) from India as revealed through high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC-DAD).

Twenty genotypes of betel vine were characterized for bio-compounds. Phenolic compounds and organic acids were identified, with male genotypes having higher content. Some genotypes had the highest phenolic content, making the chemical profile useful for gender differentiation and commercial cultivation.
