Phytochemistry Studies

Phytochemical screening and anti-obesity, anti- diabetic and anti-oxidant properties of Scoparia dulcis leaf decoction (crude).

Researchers found bioactive compounds in porridge made from S. dulcis leaf essence that interact with proteins related to diabetes, oxidation, and obesity. Further analysis is required.

Reduced nitrogen fertilization from pre-flowering to pre-veraison alters phenolic profiles of Vitis vinifera L. Cv. Cabernet Gernischt wine of Yantai, China.

Reducing nitrogen fertilizer application during grape growing seasons improves wine quality by enhancing phenolic compounds, including tannins and anthocyanins, and increasing individual stilbenes like piceatannol and trans-resveratrol.

Deep eutectic solvents as an alternative for extraction of flavonoids from soybean (Glycine max (L) Merrill) and okara: An experimental and computational approach based on COSMO-SAC model.

This study explores using Deep Eutectic Solvents (DES) for extracting flavonoids from soybean and okara. The DES [Ch]Cl: acetic acid with 30% water showed the highest flavonoid content and antioxidant activity. The COSMO-SAC model helped in solvent screening. DES can be a more eco-friendly alternative to traditional solvents.
