Low-temperature resin embedding of the whole brain for various precise structures dissection.

A new method called HM20-T has been developed to preserve weak fluorescent signals of precise structures in biological tissues during resin embedding and ultra-thin sectioning. The preservation ratio of fluorescent signals doubled for green fluorescent protein tagged presynaptic elements and tdTomato labeled axons. The method was also suitable for a variety of fluorescent dyes and did not affect immunoreactivity. This method can be used to better characterize multi-color labeled structures in biological tissues and contribute to investigating composition and circuit connections in the brain.

Effects of the aroma of lemone verbena (Aloysia citriodora Paláu) essential oil on anxiety and the hemodynamic profile before cesarean section: A randomized clinical trial.

Researchers studied the effect of lemon verbena aromatherapy on 80 patients with anxiety. The patients were divided into two groups, with one group receiving a placebo scent and the other group receiving the lemon verbena scent. Results showed a significant reduction in anxiety symptoms in the group exposed to the lemon verbena scent. These findings support the use of aromatherapy as a complementary treatment for anxiety.

Acmella oleracea induced nanostructured Ca(2)Fe(2)O(5) for evaluation of photo catalytic degradation of cardiovascular drugs and bio toxicity.

Scientists used a plant extract to create nanocrystalline CaFeO, which showed high photocatalytic and antibacterial activity, as well as low cytotoxicity. Potential applications include bioremediation and medical fields.
