Ocotillol-Type Pseudoginsenoside-F11 Alleviates Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Acute Kidney Injury through Regulation of Macrophage Function by Suppressing the NF-κB/NLRP3/IL-1β Signaling Pathway.

- AKI involves kidney function decline due to inflammation - PF11 from plant modulates macrophage function - Protects kidney cells and reduces inflammation in mouse model - Potential treatment for AKI by regulating macrophages

Microbial Biotransformation of 1-Methyl-L-tryptophan into Herbicidal Indole Alkaloids by Endophytic Fungus Nigrospora chinensis GGY-3.

GGY-3 transformed 1-MT into new and known indole alkaloids using a Friedel-Crafts reaction. Some compounds showed strong herbicidal activity on dicotyledon weeds, comparable to penoxsulam.

Piperlongumine, a natural alkaloid from Piper longum L. ameliorates metabolic-associated fatty liver disease by antagonizing the thromboxane A(2) receptor.

TL;DR: Piperlongumine (PL) from Piper longum L. fruits improved MAFLD in mice by reducing hepatic gluconeogenesis, lipogenesis, and insulin resistance. PL targets CRTC2, CREB, and Srebp-1c, and antagonizes TP receptor to combat MAFLD induced by HFD. Potential therapeutic strategy.
