Scoparone attenuates PD-L1 expression in human breast cancer cells by MKP-3 upregulation.

Scoparone (SCO) downregulates PD-L1 expression in breast cancer cells via AKT inhibition and upregulation of MKP-3 expression. SCO could be a potential combinatorial agent for cancer immunotherapy.

A Comparative In Vitro Analysis of Antimicrobial Effectiveness and Compressive Resilience in Chirata and Terminalia arjuna Modified Glass Ionomer Cement.

Scientists studied the use of Chirayita and T. arjuna extracts to improve the antibacterial properties of glass ionomer cement used in dental restorations. This could potentially reduce the risk of cavity-causing microorganism growth.

A Novel Trypsin Kunitz-Type Inhibitor from Cajanus cajan Leaves and Its Inhibitory Activity on New Cancer Serine Proteases and Its Effect on Tumor Cell Growth.

Scientists isolated and characterized a trypsin inhibitor from Cajanus cajan leaves. The inhibitor showed high affinity for trypsin and inhibited the activity of secreted serine proteases. It also reduced the growth of melanoma and colon adenocarcinoma cells. This could be a potential drug candidate for chemotherapy.

COP-22 Alleviates D-Galactose-Induced Brain Aging by Attenuating Oxidative Stress, Inflammation, and Apoptosis in Mice.

COP-22, a curcumin derivative, shows potential in protecting the brain from aging-induced damage by reducing oxidative stress, improving cholinergic system dysfunction, and protecting nerve cells. It also demonstrates the ability to reduce oxidative stress in the liver and kidney. It could be used in aging therapy and to treat diseases like Alzheimer's.
