Dietary inclusion of Withania somnifera and Asparagus racemosus induces growth, activities of digestive enzyme, and transcriptional modulation of MyoD, MyoG, Myf5, and MRF4 genes in fish, Channa punctatus.

This study examined the effects of adding Ashwagandha and Shatavari to the diet of fish. The results showed that the addition of these herbs improved growth indices, increased enzyme activity, and upregulated myogenic regulatory factors. These findings have potential implications for aquaculture.

Comparison of supercritical CO(2) extraction and pressurized fluid extraction for isolation of alkaloids from Anacardium occidentale with the study of its anti-inflammatory activity.

This study explores the anti-inflammatory properties of Anacardium occidentale (cashew) extracts. Different extraction techniques and compounds were analyzed. Results demonstrate that these extracts have potential as anti-inflammatory agents without adverse effects on cells, highlighting their therapeutic potential for drug development.

Comparison of Yield Characteristics, Chemical Composition, Lignans Content and Antioxidant Potential of Experimentally Grown Six Linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) Cultivars.

This study evaluated the chemical composition and antioxidant potential of different linseed cultivars. Growing conditions and cultivar choice significantly influenced the composition and content of bioactive compounds, such as lignans. Understanding these factors can help maximize the nutritional and medicinal properties of linseed.

Effects of Sichuan pepper (huājiāo) powder on disease activity and caecal microbiota of dextran sodium sulphate-induced inflammatory bowel disease mouse model.

Sichuan pepper (huājiāo) has strong antioxidant and bile acid-lowering properties. It also modulates inflammation-related cytokines and gut microbiota in mice on a low-fiber, high-sucrose diet.

Possible protective anticancer effect of chloroform fraction of Iraqi Hibiscus tiliaceus L. leaves extract on diethylnitrosamine-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in male rats.

Iraqi chloroform leaf extract was investigated for its ability to protect against DEN-induced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in male Wistar Albino rats. This research is relevant for finding potential treatments for HCC.
