Exploring the interaction of phytochemicals from Hibiscus rosa-sinensis flowers with glucosidase and acetylcholinesterase: An integrated in vitro and in silico approach.

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis flowers extract (HRA) was prepared and shown to have antioxidant activity. HRA inhibited glucosidases and AChE activity, potentially useful for diabetes and cognitive improvement. The active constituents CS and QS stably bind to target proteins.

Inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 infection and replication by Petasites hybridus CO2-extract (Ze 339).

This study investigated the antiviral effects of a CO-extract from Petasites hybridus (Ze 339). The search for herbal anti-viral drugs is important in preventing early stages of infection, especially in the context of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant and the lack of available drugs for alleviating symptoms and preventing Long-COVID.

Brucea Javanica Oil Emulsion Injection inhibits proliferation of pancreatic cancer via regulating apoptosis-related genes.

This study investigated the anti-tumor effects of Brucea Javanica Oil Emulsion Injection (BJOEI) on pancreatic cancer. They found that BJOEI inhibited tumor growth and induced cell apoptosis by regulating apoptosis-related genes, particularly PPARG. BJOEI may have potential therapeutic effects for pancreatic cancer.
