Anticancer, antioxidant, and antibacterial effects of nanoemulsion of Origanum majorana essential oil.

Researchers created a natural nanoemulsion with dual benefits: fighting bacteria and combating cancer. This has potential to lead to new treatments for both infectious diseases and cancer.

Insecticidal toxicity of essential oil of Nepalese Acorus calamus (Acorales:Acoraceae) against Sitophilus zeamais (Coleoptera:Curculionidae).

Sweet flag oil from the rhizome has insecticidal properties against maize weevils, causing faster mortality and repelling them. Treated maize had reduced weight loss and grain damage, but health effects are uncertain, requiring additional testing.

Sweet potato flour (Ipomoea batatas) as natural antioxidant on carcass yield and meat physicochemical characteristics of Creole chickens of Mexico and Cobb 500.

Sweet potato flour was tested as a natural antioxidant on two types of chickens. Cobb 500 had higher carcass yield, while CChM had higher thigh yield. SPF increased skin yellowness and can be used as a pigment in broiler production.

Evaluation of phytochemical, antibacterial, thrombolytic, anti-inflammatory, and cytotoxicity profile of Achyranthes aspera aerial part extracts.

Achyranthes aspera extracts (ME-E and AQ-E) were analyzed for phytochemicals, antibacterial, thrombolytic, anti-inflammatory, and cytotoxicity activities. ME-E exhibited higher phytochemicals, superior antibacterial and thrombolytic activities, moderate anti-inflammatory activity, and dose-dependent cytotoxicity, suggesting potential biomedical applications.
