Avocado Sunblotch Viroid (ASBVd) causes avocado sunblotch disease, leading to chlorotic lesions on fruit, leaves, and stems. RNA sequencing revealed 631 differentially expressed genes, with upregulated defense responses, phytohormones, and gene pathways, advancing our understanding of avsunviroid-host interactions.

Cationic and anionic detergent buffers in sequence yield high-quality genomic DNA from diverse plant species.

Scientists developed a protocol to efficiently extract high-quality DNA from a wide range of plant species/tissues. Three new phenolic glycosides and a new lignan glycoside from Gaultheria leucocarpa var. yunnanensis.
