Traditional Chinese medicine combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer: key drug screening and mechanism analysis.

Chinese medicine, when combined with other treatments, is effective in treating non-small cell lung cancer by reducing toxicity and increasing efficiency. Key components include Astragalus membranaceus, Wolfiporia cocos, and Atractylodes macrocephala, with potential therapeutic effects through AKT1 and EGFR targets.

Prenylated Acetophenone Derivatives from the Leaves of Acronychia pedunculata and Their Anti-proliferative Activities.

Researchers identified 4 new compounds from Acronychia pedunculata leaves, 1 dimer and 3 monomers, along with 7 known analogues. Compound 5 showed strong anti-cancer effects with IC50 values from 0.24 to 5.3 μM against HCT-116, RKO, and SW480 cell lines.

Unlocking the nutraceutical potential of Corylus avellana L. shells: microwave-assisted extraction of phytochemicals with antiradical and anti-diabetic properties.

Scientists developed a green microwave extraction method to recover bioactive compounds from hazelnut shells, which have nutraceutical properties. Optimal extraction conditions were identified to maximize phenolic content and antioxidant activity. This research is important for the production of high-quality natural extracts for nutraceutical formulations.
