Effects of microplastics on functional genes related to CH(4) and N(2)O metabolism in bacteriophages during manure composting and its planting applications.

This study investigates the impact of microplastic pollution on functional genes related to greenhouse gas emissions in bacteriophages during manure composting and planting. Results show that microplastics affect the physicochemical properties of manure and microbial community structure, potentially influencing greenhouse gas emissions.

Charge Transfer Copper Chelating Complex and Biogenically Synthesized Copper Oxide Nanoparticles Using Salvia officinalis Laves Extract in Comparative Spectrofluorimetric Estimation of Anticancer Dabrafenib.

Scientists developed two spectrofluorimetric probes using ecologically synthesized copper oxide nanoparticles and a copper chelate complex to detect the anticancer drug Dabrafenib. The probes showed linear concentration ranges and low detection limits. Excipients and other substances had no effect on the detection.

Synthesis and Characterisation of Chickpea Peptides-Zinc Chelates Having ACE2 Inhibitory Activity.

Scientists discovered that certain peptides in chickpea protein hydrolysates have a strong ability to bind with zinc ions. One peptide, HKERVQLHIIPTAVGK, was especially effective at binding zinc and showed promising effects in inhibiting ACE2. This study has important implications for understanding zinc's bioavailability and potential health benefits.

Effect of foliar application of nanoparticles on growth, physiology, and antioxidant enzyme activities of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) plants under cadmium toxicity.

Scientists studied the impact of various nanoparticles combined with cadmium on lettuce plants. Findings indicate that certain nanoparticles improve growth and photosynthesis, reduce toxicity, and increase tolerance to cadmium. Further research is needed for optimal use in different environments.

CRISPR/Cas9-mediated seamless gene replacement in protoplasts expands the resistance spectrum to TMV-U1 strain in regenerated Nicotiana tabacum.

Scientists developed a genome editing system using CRISPR/Cas that allows for the seamless insertion of large DNA fragments in tobacco plants. This can improve crop traits by replacing specific gene regions. The study provides a reliable tool for efficient gene modifications in plants and details the optimization process for other researchers to use.
