Datura metel stramonium exacerbates behavioral deficits, medial prefrontal cortex, and hippocampal neurotoxicity in mice via redox imbalance.

Study investigates effects of Datura metel extract on the brain; aims to determine if oral exposure increases oxidative stress in mPFC and hippocampus, leading to behavioral deficits in mice.

A study on antimicrobial and anticancer properties of Cissus quadrangulris using lung cancer cell line.

A study was conducted to analyze the medicinal properties of the stem extract from the Cissus quadrangularis plant. The extract showed antimicrobial activity against various microorganisms and displayed potential in inhibiting the growth of A549 human lung cancer cells. In addition, the extract exhibited a dose-dependent reduction in lung cancer cell viability. Further analysis revealed that the IC50 dose, which inhibits 50% of cell growth, was achieved at a concentration of 65.2 μg/ml. These findings suggest that the Cissus quadrangularis stem extract may have potential as a natural anti-cancer agent.
