Regulation of microglia related neuroinflammation contributes to the protective effect of Gelsevirine on ischemic stroke.

Gelsevirine reduces stroke damage by decreasing inflammation and apoptotic cells, improving neurobiological function, and downregulating microglia activity and JAK-STAT signal pathway.

Integrated LC-MS/MS and network pharmacology approach for predictingactive ingredients and pharmacological mechanisms of Tribulus terrestris L. against cardiac diseases.

This study identified active ingredients in the medicinal herb L. (Gokshura) that have potential to treat cardiac diseases. The compounds include Kaempferol 3-rutinoside 7-glucuronide, rutin, and quercetin-3-o-α-rhamnoside. Further research is needed to assess efficacy.

Anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of ellagic and punicic acid in an in vitro model of cardiac fibrosis.

The study found that ellagic acid (EA) and punicic acid (PA) reduced pro-fibrotic proteins, reactive oxygen species, and inflammation in cardiac fibroblasts. EA and PA could be effective in reducing fibrosis.

15, 16-Dihydrotanshinone I protects against ischemic stroke by inhibiting ferroptosis via the activation of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2.

The study investigated the effects of DHT on ischemic stroke. DHT is a naturally occurring compound extracted from Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, that has various pharmacological effects. The study found that DHT has a protective effect against ischemic stroke by increasing Nrf2 expression. Nrf2 is a key regulator of antioxidative stress responses and is associated with ferroptosis inhibition, a process involved in stroke. These findings suggest that DHT has therapeutic potential for the treatment of ischemic stroke.

Effects of Δ(9)-Tetrahydrocannabinol and the Aminoalkylindole K2/Spice Constituent JWH-073 on Cardiac Tissue and Mesenteric Vascular Reactivity.

Recreational use of certain cannabinoid agonists in herbal blends can cause cardiovascular events. JWH-073 may have greater vascular adverse effects than Δ-THC.
