Extract of Cimicifuga racemosa (L.) Nutt protects ovarian follicle reserve of mice against in vitro deleterious effects of dexamethasone.

CIMI extract counteracts the harmful effects of DEXA on mouse ovaries in vitro, maintaining follicle morphology, stromal cellular density, and gene expression levels of Bax, Bcl-2, and Caspase-3 similar to control. CIMI can protect ovaries from DEXA-induced damage.

Satureja montana and Mentha pulegium essential oils' antimicrobial properties against Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae and elicitor potential through the modulation of kiwifruit hormonal defenses.

Essential oils from Mentha pulegium and Satureja montana were tested for their ability to combat kiwifruit bacterial canker. S. montana oil was found to be the most effective, boosting defense hormone levels and reducing infection levels. However, more research is needed to understand how it works and if it can be a long-term solution.

Pharmacological Potential of Hippophae rhamnoides L. Nano-Emulsion for Management of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome in Animals' Model: In Vitro and In Vivo Studies.

L. was evaluated for treating polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) in rats. It improved hormonal imbalance, insulin sensitivity, ovarian health, and lipid profile. Nano-emulsion had better effects, possibly due to improved bioavailability.

Do "testosterone boosters" really increase serum total testosterone? A systematic review.

52 studies on testosterone boosters were reviewed, revealing that most do not increase total testosterone. However, β-hydroxy β-methylbutyrate and betaine proved effective for male athletes, and Eurycoma longifolia and Withania somnifera may be effective for other populations. This information should be considered for lab decisions.

Hormonal Regulation and Stimulation Response of Jatropha curcas L. Homolog Overexpression on Tobacco Leaf Growth by Transcriptome Analysis.

The study analyzed the effects of gene overexpression on leaf growth in tobacco plants. It found that overexpression affected various biological processes, potentially leading to reduced leaf size. This provides new insights into the function of the gene and its homologous genes.
