N6-methyladenosine modification of TSC1 mRNA contributes to macrophage polarization regulated by Coptisine in DSS-induced ulcerative colitis.

This study investigates how coptisine (COP), derived from Coptis chinensis, inhibits macrophage inflammation in ulcerative colitis (UC). COP's protective mechanism against UC in mice induced with dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) is explored.

Effects of sage (Salvia officinalis) essential oil on growth, health and antioxidant capacity of common carp (Cyprinus carpio).

In this study, the effects of sage oil on carp were investigated. Sage oil did not affect growth, but increased antioxidant activity and improved gut health. It also increased fertility and disease resistance against A. hydrophila infection. Use of sage oil is recommended in carp farming.

Handelin alleviates cachexia- and aging-induced skeletal muscle atrophy by improving protein homeostasis and inhibiting inflammation.

Handelin, a compound from Chrysanthemum indicum, improves muscle health in aging worms. This study investigates its protective effects and mechanisms in a mouse muscle atrophy model induced by cachexia and aging.

Anti-Inflammatory Mechanism of Ligustrum Lucidum Ait Based on Network Pharmacology and Molecular Docking.

Ligustrum lucidum, a plant, was studied to identify its targets and anti-inflammatory mechanism. This was done by screening core targets, analyzing protein interactions, and using molecular docking. The findings can provide important insights for anti-inflammatory treatments.

Study on Antioxidant Activity of Spearmint Essential Oil and Pure Dew.

Researchers evaluated the antioxidant capacity of spearmint essential oil and dew. 1% spearmint oil had the strongest antioxidant effect (50.94% superoxide scavenging, 90.11% hydroxyl scavenging), while 100% dew had moderate effects (47.65% superoxide scavenging, 45.60% hydroxyl scavenging). This is relevant for developing spearmint truffle and oil.

Plant Regeneration via Organogenesis in Jerusalem Artichokes and Comparative Analysis of Endogenous Hormones and Antioxidant Enzymes in Typical and Atypical Shoots.

Scientists optimized a protocol for clonal propagation of Jerusalem artichoke, a nutrient-rich plant. They found the best conditions for shoot and root formation, successfully regenerating plants. However, atypical shoots had poor growth due to high levels of IAA and ABA hormones, increasing antioxidant enzyme activity.
