Metabolomics study of the hepatoprotective effect of total flavonoids of Mallotus apelta leaf in carbon tetrachloride-induced liver fibrosis in rats.

Mallotus apelta leaf has anti-fibrosis activity, but its mechanism is unclear. This study used urine metabolomics to identify potential biomarkers and found that M. apelta leaf could improve liver fibrosis by regulating certain metabolic pathways. TNF may be a potential target gene for this treatment.
