UHPLC-MS/MS analysis and protective effects on neurodegenerative diseases of phenolic compounds in different parts of Diospyros kaki L. cv. Mopan.

Scientists identified and quantified 75 phenolic compounds in persimmon, showing neuroprotective effects against oxidative stress and neuroinflammation. Fruit extract showed strongest activity, informing targeted selection and development of persimmon for potential health benefits.

Neuroprotective activity of Colocasia esculenta (L.) Schott leaves against monosodium glutamate-induced excitotoxicity in rats: phytochemical and molecular docking study.

Schott leaves show neuroprotective activity in rats, with 16 polyphenolic compounds identified in -BF and 15 in ME. Isolated compounds bind at target pocket with higher energy. These findings reveal new potential treatments for neurological diseases.
