Annona muricate Extract Supplementation Contributes to Improve Aberrant Multi-Organ Energy Metabolism via Muscle-Brain Connectivity in Diabetic Mice.

This study investigated the effects of AM extract on the energy metabolism of T2DM mice. The extract increased insulin signaling in the skeletal muscle and hippocampus, and increased levels of myokines and neurotrophic factors. This suggests that AME may be a potential nutraceutical for improving energy metabolism and muscle-brain connectivity in T2DM.
