Investigation of the antiviral effects of Saussurea lappa root extract against SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Researchers found that a plant extract from Saussurea lappa roots could potentially be used as a food supplement to combat SARS-CoV-2, as it showed some ability to inhibit the virus. Further research is needed to establish its effectiveness as a treatment for COVID-19.

Anticancer role of mango (Mangifera indica L.) peel and seed kernel extracts against 7,12- dimethylbenz[a]anthracene-induced mammary carcinogenesis in female rats.

Mango seed and peel extracts were found to reduce mammary tumors and oxidative stress caused by DMBA, while also decreasing cell proliferation and increasing apoptosis. These extracts could be useful in breast cancer treatment.

Anti-obesity effects of aerobic exercise along with Rosa canina seed extract supplementation in rats: The role of irisin and adipolin.

A combination of aerobic exercise and supplementation with the hydroalcoholic extract of Rosa canina fruit seed can reduce body weight and the risks of obesity in male rats. This is achieved by up-regulating irisin and adipolin.

Artemisia argyi H.Lév. & Vaniot essential oil induces ferroptosis in pancreatic cancer cells via up-regulation of TFR1 and depletion of γ-glutamyl cycle.

Artemisia argyi essential oil (AAEO) was investigated for its effects on pancreatic cancer cells. AAEO induced ferroptosis, a type of cell death, through regulating specific metabolic pathways. It has potential as a therapeutic approach for pancreatic cancer treatment.
