Brain acetylcholinesterase activity and the protective effect of Gac fruit on scopolamine-induced memory impairment in adult zebrafish.

Researchers tested Gac fruit extract on zebrafish and found improved memory performance and decreased acetylcholinesterase activity. This suggests the extract may help prevent Alzheimer's disease.

Sweet basil (Ocimum basilicum) leaf and seed extracts alleviate neuronal dysfunction in aluminum chloride-induced neurotoxicity in Drosophila melanogaster Meigen model.

Basil is a powerful antioxidant with potential benefits for neurodegenerative diseases. Its leaf extract showed more neuroprotective activities compared to the seed extract. This study suggests basil could be a potential therapeutic option for managing neurodegenerative diseases.
