Tossers identified new abietane diterpenoids in Rosemary, including rosmarinusin Q, showing anti-neuroinflammatory properties. Potential for neuroprotective agents against nerve damage from inflammation.

Discovery of sesquiterpene from Youngia japonica with antitumor effect.

Researchers isolated 14 sesquiterpenes from Youngia japonica. One, labeled "2," showed strong cytotoxic activity against A549 lung cancer cells by increasing ROS levels, inducing apoptosis, and enhancing cleaved caspase 3 expression. This compound has potential for lung cancer treatment.
